Participated in Paths After Park, wherein I spoke for three, 40-minute sessions to small groups of students about my life after Park. I spoke about writing and local political organizing.

It was really awesome!

I also discovered something shocking: I’m not as scared of public speaking as I thought I was.

Attended a fundraiser for Howard County State’s Attorney, Rich Gibson (D). Had cofee with a friend and local politico and legal eagle, Josh Hirsh beforehand. Jeremy Eldridge (D-HCDCC); Deanna Peel (Guy Guzzone’s [D-13] Chief of Staff; Guy Guzzone [D-13]) and other HoCo politics usual suspects attended too!

Went to gym for HCDCC member and good friend, Alicia Altimirano. Ran all over Columbia running errands. Did tasks for Dem Party LGBTQ+ Leadership and Diversity Council. Worked on rocoinhoco.com article about my BFF and inspiration, Becca Niburg. Worked on GVP display with another BFF and HoCo Dem activsit royalty, Miss Carole Fisher.

I met Herb Smith at Syriana Cafe and Gallery in Old Ellicott City and interviewed him about his being admin for the Biden for Maryland Facebook page for RoCoInHoCo. Called Amanda Miller at Nail Candy Shop to tell her that my Pride-themed nails made it through HoCo’s first Pride on June 29th, 2019.

While a few of my friends and my sister rubbed elbows at a Grassroots fundraiser, pictured above, I met with fellow planners Jumel Howard and Erica Tang to continue figuring out what shape HoCo Pride 2019 (its first!) will take at the Savage Branch of the Howard County Public Library.
