Participated in Paths After Park, wherein I spoke for three, 40-minute sessions to small groups of students about my life after Park. I spoke about writing and local political organizing.
It was really awesome!
I also discovered something shocking: I’m not as scared of public speaking as I thought I was. There was an opening ceremony during which we alumni who spoke got on stage and introduced ourselves–fun!
I couldn’t stay for the closing ceremony during which I was scheduled to talk about how life’s twists and turns are A-OK and everything works out–in my opinion–for the best. I had to get to Annapolis for the last few hours of my three-month, awesome internship there.
