Went to Courthouse offices swearing in. It was standing room only! Ate food at the reception afterward. One of my tips for politi-events is always eat (even if, as in my case that day, you already have). Also, if it’s an event you’ve paid for (which this wasn’t, albeit), then you need to get your money’s worth. Went over to the Board of Education for the swearing in and, unbeknownst to me at the time, the part of the first meeting. As I came in, some of the new members were posing for a pic. My friend, Tina Sheets Horn, said: “Well, look at that! A Board of Ed that actually resembles the makeup of the county. Next I went home and changed. I recharged my own battery and that of my phone. I left at 6:00 p.m. for the County Executive and Council swearings in. At 7:09 p.m. I was still at Rte. 108 and Howard High School. This is a drive that normally would have taken me 15 minutes. After the third time I watched the light change, I decided to go home.
